About TeddyCare Medical

Why I built TeddyIQ.

I spent years working with medical claims, coding, grievances and appeals. The same problem kept repeating: documentation was marked sent, received or complete even when the work was not actually finished. Someone still had to find the problem and fix it manually.

That is why I built TeddyIQ.

I got into healthcare because I wanted to help people.

Sometimes that meant helping patients get the care they needed. Sometimes it meant helping physicians get paid correctly by making sure claims, grievances and appeals were handled the right way. I wanted to help the different parts of healthcare work together better.

The problem kept repeating.

Over the years, I worked with medical claims, grievances and appeals. One problem kept showing up. Medical documentation did not always reach the person or organization that needed it when they needed it. Sometimes technology failed. Sometimes staff were overloaded. Sometimes something was marked as sent, received or complete even though the work was not actually finished. Someone still had to find the problem manually.

When documentation was missing, patients could wait longer for procedures or medications. Physicians could wait longer to get paid. Staff had to call, fax, check portals, resend documents and go back over work they thought had already been completed.

Moving documentation was only part of the problem.

The bigger question was whether the right documentation actually reached the right place and whether the work was truly complete.

That became TeddyIQ.

I built TeddyIQ to look underneath statuses like sent, uploaded and complete. Did it arrive? Is it the right documentation? Are the dates right? Is something missing? Is permission correct? Is there enough evidence to safely move forward?

If TeddyIQ can handle the problem safely, it should. If it cannot, it should bring the exception to a person instead of guessing.

Healthcare administration is not just paperwork.

Behind the documentation is a patient waiting for care, a physician trying to treat that patient and a healthcare team trying to keep the operation running. When documentation breaks down, the effects can reach care, payment, staff workload and access.

Solve the underlying problem.

I want TeddyCare Medical to become a healthcare technology company that solves underlying operational problems instead of covering them up. I want physicians, patients and insurers to exchange the information they need with less friction, less repeated work and more confidence that the documentation is actually complete.

Healthcare teams should work the exceptions that need human judgment. Technology should handle the repetitive work around them.
